Spray Paint Art

This is a video on spray paint art. This fascinating and unique form of art is usually performed on streets, in metropolitan cities. The paintings often create surreal landscapes of planets, comets, pyramids, cities and nature scenes, mainly on posterboard.

This incredible artform utilizes mininal tools such as aerosol spray paint and scrap materials like unwanted newspapers, magazines and cardboard that are readily available. What's more is that it merely takes less than 15minutes to complete an art piece. An important aspect in the art is the music that often accompanies the performance. This inspires the artist and is an integral part of the experience for the spectator.

This video allowed me to view art in a different perspective. I always thought that 'artistic' people are the only ones able to appreciate art. However, after watching this video, i realised that it opened my eyes to the wonders of art. The special 3-D effect that the spectacular art pieces create is what captivated me most.

I believe art and music are forms of non-verbal communication. Music is a universal language that is an important aspect in our lives. In this video, music plays as a key factor in 'communicating' with the artist to help develop ideas. Music is also cleverly used to draw audiences to his performance and add to its entertainment value.

ingenious! fascinating!! i was totally mesmerized when the universe was formed.. it shows how a person with some simple tools, is able to construct beautiful pieces of art.
i do believe art itself is a non-verbal language. once you are able to appreciate the particular art work, you will feel reverence towards the artist and develop certain perceptions about the artist. yes, this guy is ingenius! even such a "un-art" person like me appreciates the beauty of his works.

This is an interesting form of art that I believe many of us have not seen before. It is interesting to see that we have little clue to what he is going to draw. We have no past experience or information that can allow us to predict what he was going to paint. Are there a lot of things out there which we have no clue to as what will happen?

I've seen this in sydney before. It's truly an unimaginable creative effort, especially with the use of limited tools to create shapes and intricate strokes.

The beautiful thing about this is the quick realization that art can be appreciated in all different forms. Especially knowing that this is not something that cost thousands or even millions. This is a simplification of art that is being translated with the creative juices of human beings.

I look forward to seeing more of such art, art that is not the traditional, conventional; art that has no boundaries of a specific definition.

Wow!!! An interesting thing to showcase. and yea, art is not that hard to do. Even simple things can be considered an art piece. it is only just how people see it. haha, this video have gave me more ideas. Thanks :)

HI

Yes, indeed the performance of spray painting is very attention-grabbing.

I had tried spray painting once and realised myself that it only needs some practice and knowledge of the tools so as to master the art. Spray painting is considered a relatively easy-to-do art as everybody can do it. Just look at the number of vids on Youtube pple posting their own spray paint artworks online. It may seem fascinating but trust me, even less talented pple in art can create a beautiful work.

I agree that its not only 'artistic' people who are the only ones able to appreciate art. In fact, when an artwork is painted or drawn to high realistic value or able to impress the crowd, it will get everyone prasing it.

Cheers for sharing the clip!

Spray paint is a very interesting form of art. It requires skill and I don't think it can be done just by anyone to achieve the wonderful effects.

This is a wonderful new experience for me, it was confusing for me at the start but after seeing the fruits of labor, it was breath-taking (:
